Machine Learning Engineer

Avion is seeking a technically strong, product-minded engineer to help build the intelligent systems behind our ventures, client platforms, and proprietary frameworks. You’ll work across applied AI, machine learning, data architecture, and automation—translating complex problems into working systems.

This role supports Avion’s work in Regenerative Innovation and Sovereign Intelligence, helping organizations use AI to expand capability, strengthen decision-making, and reduce dependency.

What you'll be doing

You’ll design and build machine learning systems, intelligent workflows, and prototypes that connect data with real business and institutional use cases.

You’ll also contribute to AI agents, forecasting tools, knowledge systems, decision-support models, data pipelines, and the technical development of Avion’s emerging proprietary platforms.

Who we're looking for

You are an engineer who enjoys building at the intersection of machine intelligence and real-world systems. You care about model performance, but also about how technology fits into the larger operating environment.

• Experience building and deploying machine learning or AI systems
• Strong Python and modern ML framework experience
• Familiarity with LLMs, agents, retrieval systems, or applied generative AI
• Understanding of data pipelines, APIs, and production environments
• Ability to translate ambiguous business problems into technical solutions
