The challenge was not simply to open more locations. It was to build a system capable of reproducing service quality, workforce capability, and customer trust at scale.
Enabling enterprise brand decentralization through franchise and membership innovation
From high-touch service to repeatable platform

Heyday set out to make expert, personalized skincare more accessible through a modern facial studio experience. The early model demonstrated strong customer demand, practitioner expertise, and brand loyalty—but national expansion required more than replicating the same physical format.

The company needed a repeatable way to attract and retain customers, develop licensed estheticians, preserve service quality, operate studios, and finance growth. Avion approached those requirements as one integrated growth system rather than a series of disconnected initiatives.

The central question became: How can a high-touch service become repeatable without making the customer experience generic?

Designing the system behind growth

Human capability doesn't exist in isolation—it's embedded in systems: health systems, learning environments, operational frameworks. Data allows us to understand those systems with extraordinary granularity. From hospital networks to neural networks, we can now diagnose systemic inefficiencies, model solutions, and implement change with precision. We are approaching a point where data doesn't just inform decisions—it actively shapes outcomes. It enables personalized therapies, real-time diagnostics, and adaptive systems that respond to human behavior. The question is no longer what can we measure?—it's how will we choose to use what we know?Avion assessed the business across customer behavior, membership potential, studio economics, workforce structure, booking technology, service delivery, and capital requirements.

That work informed a future-state architecture connecting recurring membership, digital booking, longitudinal customer relationships, esthetician incentives, standardized studio economics, an asset-light franchise structure, and national expansion milestones.

"Repeatability does not come from standardizing the human experience. It comes from building the systems that allow quality, knowledge, and judgment to travel with growth.”

Rather than treating franchising, subscriptions, talent, technology, and capital as separate workstreams, Avion designed them as mutually reinforcing components of one operating model.

From expansion to regenerative growth

Avion supported implementation across the membership and expansion models, workforce structure, digital booking, capital strategy, and multi-market rollout planning.

The transformation was designed so that each new studio would strengthen—not dilute—the operating knowledge, customer data, practitioner capability, and capital story supporting the next stage of growth.

The resulting system connected several capabilities that had to mature together:

  • Recurring membership and customer retention
  • Esthetician development, incentives, and utilization
  • Standardized studio economics and operating practices
  • Asset-light franchise and national expansion architecture

The durable capability was not the addition of any single location. It was the ability to repeatedly open, staff, operate, and improve locations through a common operating system.

Heyday now reports 35 studios across the United States, and the company announced a $20 million Series B in 2021 to accelerate franchise expansion and digital development.

For Avion, this is Regenerative Innovation in practice: each new studio contributes additional customer intelligence, workforce experience, operating knowledge, and brand strength back into the wider platform.

Sovereignty gained: Greater economic optionality, recurring revenue, operating consistency, and expansion capacity.

Capability regenerated: Customer intelligence, practitioner development, studio operating knowledge, and capital readiness.
